A fine Queen Anne period walnut veneered double dome bureau bookcase; the double dome top with gilded finials above a pair of arched mirrored doors which open to reveal adjustable shelves with candle slides below; the quarter veneered fall opening to reveal a fully fitted interior of pigeon holes and drawers below which are two short and two long graduated drawers, raised on later bun feet.
This antique bureau bookcase is veneered throughout in beautifully figured walnut and is feather banded throughout. This coupled with the crisp double dome mouldings veneered in crossgrain walnut are typical features of the Queen Anne period. Retaining a good colour and patina.
