A superb Regency period rosewood veneered breakfront chiffonier; the original marble top above a frieze embellished with carved roundels and a bead and reel moulding; with a pair of silked cupboard doors below which are flanked by adjustable bookshelves and pilasters decorated with acanthus carved volutes; raised on a plinth base.
This antique breakfront chiffonier is of the finest quality and the cabinet-maker has shown unusual attention to detail, underneath the marble top and on the adjustable shelves there is a faux rosewood effect. All the mouldings of the chiffonier are beautifully crisp and it retains a superb faded colour. Unusually this Regency breakfront chiffonier retains its original marble top.
