A large Regency period carved giltwood convex mirror; the mirror plate set within an ebonised slip and a carved giltwood frame decorated with running acanthus leaves and a bead moulding surmounted by an eagle atop a rocky outcrop and with a crisply carved acanthus leaf apron below. Having a pair of acanthus arms to either side.
This antique Regency convex mirror is of unusually large size and quality. Unusually all the detailing such as the acanthus running moulding is carved out of wood to give it extra extra crispness and sharpness.
