A large William IV period mahogany partner's desk; the leathered top crossbanded in mahogany above three oak lined frieze drawers to either side with three graduated drawers below to either side of the kneehole to the front and cupboard doors to the rear; raised on a plinth base.
Two of the drawers are stamped A. Solomon, 59 Gt. Queen St. Abraham Solomon was working in this area in 1839 as a furniture broker trading in secondhand items so this desk will can be dated to earlier than 1839.
