A carved George II limewood wall bracket; with a central female mask surrounded by C scrolls, flowers, vine leaves and grapes. The whole bracket is beautifully carved by a highly accomplished craftsman drawing inspiration from Baroque designs. The bracket's size and powerful carving make it an ideal focal point for a wall or the end of a corridor and it would originally have been used for displaying a large vase or piece of sculpture.
