A Regency period rosewood veneered and marquetry inlaid centre table; the beautifully figured tilt-top inlaid with boxwood marquetry above a tapering stem inlaid with scrolling marquetry raised on a triform base which stands on crisply carved lion paw feet.
This table's marquetry is heavily influenced by the designs of George Bullock whose drawings were disseminated after his death as the Wilkinson tracings. The marquetry detailing and crisp carving to the feet show this table to be of the finest quality and importantly this table has retained an attractived faded colour and patination.
