George III Period c. 1760-1820

George III or Georgian is a term encompassing the finest period of English cabinet-making with cabinet-makers such as Chippendale and Sheraton at their peak. The expanding British Empire gave the cabinet-makers access to ever more exotic woods such as rosewood and satinwood allowing ever more elaborate pieces to be created.
