Sheraton Period c. 1780-1800

The Sheraton period is the most elegant period of English Furniture design. Increasing use was made of exotic woods such as satinwood, tulipwood and rosewood reflecting the growing wealth of Britain. Thomas Sheraton published ‘The Cabinet Maker and Upholsterer’s Drawing Book’ in 1793.
