The eared top inlayed with a central oval of rosewood and crossbanded in satinwood and rosewood with a brass edging; the serpentine shaped sides inlayed with satinwood and crossbanded in rosewood with a drawer to one end, raised on slender cabriole legs which are mounted with ormolu sabots.
The quality of this table can be seen in the choice of the most luxurious woods of the period, rosewood and satinwood for its manufacture. Its extremely sophisticated design which is all shape and movement suggests that it was made by one of the most accomplished London cabinet-makers.
