Reindeer Antiques is based in an early 17th century stone, former coaching inn, nestling into the old Roman Watling Street in the small village of Potterspury in South Northamptonshire.
We are centrally located in the heart of England in an area rich in history - the historic royal hunting grounds of Whittlebury forest are opposite our premises and the nearby historic market town of Stony Stratford with its many old inns and taverns lasting from its coaching days provides a location for lunch or dinner after visiting our showrooms.
Our former 17th century coaching inn became an antique shop under the name of Reindeer Antiques (formerly the Reindeer Inn) in 1946. This business was acquired and greatly altered and expanded by John Butterworth in 1976. The coaching inn and former maltings have been lovingly restored and converted to provide a period setting for the display of our range of 17th to early 19th century furniture, clocks, mirrors and accessories. The walled gardens have developed over the years into a secret oasis now displaying our range of garden urns.
